Thanks guys for some great podcasts . As a GP I get fed up with some of the basleless drivel that my patients try to tell me and (regrettably a few of my less than critical thinking colleagues). You have reignited my interest in skepticism .
I was watching the women's golf the other today and at almost every break featured were annoying ads for bed magnets , featuring lengthy heartfelt testamonials from chronic pain sufferers .
Granted that conventional medicine has not got all the answers for these people . I feel very uncomfortable thet these desperate folks are being fleeced by sharks when they often can't work due to their pain , may be elderly/pensioners etc .
Would be delighted if you wished to do something on this in the future .
